Antiquated mice from an antiquated era. Locked away behind the lost Labyrinth, these mice have continued their existence protecting their city. If the Labyrinth doesn't get you, the mice will!

Lost Legionnaire
In all honesty, the Lost Legionnaire Mouse can't make whiskers or tails out of the Labyrinth. No matter how hard he tries, he always ends up in the wrong part of the maze, wandering aimlessly for hours, before finally finding himself back at another intersection he SWEARS he already passed...

Lost
There is a rumour circling around, stating that beyond this impossible Labyrinth lies a city made of pure gold, ripe for plundering. Mice from far and wide have made attempts to uncover the maze's secrets, but everyone who has come back did so empty handed. Those who never returned continue to wander the outer halls of this constantly changing maze, unable to escape. They aggressively attack anyone who might carry supplies so they may continue their hopeless search.

Reanimated Carver
From the magics contained within the Dark Library comes this corporeal creation. A reanimated mouse created to collect the corpses of intruders, salvage what pieces they can, and return these raw materials back to the mages that created him.

The fuming bowl of unknown magical contents keeps this corpse animated and prevents any further deterioration of the vessel. Hunters have tried to retrieve these bowls from the mice after capture, only to find them empty and their smoke extinguished.

Corridor Bruiser
These mice live out their entire lives within the Labyrinth. As these mice know nothing beyond the constantly shifting maze walls, they have no issue navigating it with ease and have been known to track and mislead others for sport.

Shadow Stalker
Living within the deep shadows that are cast throughout the Labyrinth and Zokor, the Shadow Stalker Mouse hunts his prey silently from the darkness. He can slip into complete obscurity so long as even the slightest sliver of shadow lies before him.

Once his hiding place is disturbed, he slowly materializes into this nightmare, but only briefly and sometimes not at all. To this mouse, light is the antithesis to his existence, and he will never leave the safety of the shadows if a hunter is illuminated by the light of Glowing Gruyere or something just as bright.

Fungal Farmer
0
Mushroom Harvester
These mice march through the damp, fungal-infested corners of the Labyrinth, swinging sickles in what seems to be a most futile effort to cut down on the encroaching mushroom population. They started sending these individuals out once the fungus got so dense that it halted the operations of the Labyrinth's mechanical corridors.

The corridors are still a mushy mess but everything is at least now functioning. Once in a while, the fungus gunks up the works, but these mice make short work of it!

Mush Monster
The mighty Mushroom Monster Mouse is made from a mangled, mildewy, moist and mouldy maze of mushrooms! Meandering mindlessly in the murky, matchless and mostly undisturbed domains of the maze, these monstrosities remain. Their main milieu is an impeccable mix of modes that manages meaty mushroom multiplications, emboldening the mice to mature massively and mightily.

They wait for unsuspecting intruders upon which to test their new powers.

From the Ancient Academy of Summoning, these students venture out into the Labyrinth to practice their arts. Mystic Guardian
Looking upon this mouse, it may appear to have physical form, but it is cold and void of life. It does not eat cheese, it merely senses your cheese and hunts you down if you wander too closely to its home.

The story goes... There was once a scholar from Zokor who created magical guardians to protect the city's mysterious Dark Library. These guardians were powerful and kept the library safe... Too safe. This scholar, thinking he could claim the entire Scholar District for his own, commanded his guardians to prevent anyone from coming near the grounds. Much devastation was wrought and some of the knowledge stored within the library was lost before he could be stopped. When his plan was finally foiled, as punishment, his material form was divided and forever bound to his constructs in order to repay the city for the countless years of knowledge that was forever lost.

Fealty Sworn Soldier

Drudge
Those who defy the city are given the choice to redeem themselves by serving as its defenders within the dangerous Labyrinth or spend the rest of their short mortal lives in the bowels of the city. Those who choose redemption become the Fealty Initiates and can work their way up the ranks to become even the most honoured guardians, but only if their loyalty has been tested to the limits and proven true. Most don't really make it out of the initiate phase, but hope can be a powerful thing when you're tasked with defending endless corridors with only a well-used sword, some inactive stonework armour and a tattered cloak.

Masked Pikeman
Hauling a pike into battle offers a lot more flexibility in offensive and defensive options. When pikemen get together, they can form walls of spikes known as a phalanx, preventing safe passage.

Their pikes are specially crafted and forged with an imprint of the Labyrinth that they are responsible to patrol and protect. Once the Labyrinth shifts, their shift is over and they switch with their relief pikeman.

These mice wear masks to confuse and frighten intruders. You may escape one Masked Pikeman to just run into him again, and again, and again... Or is it just another one?

Those left in their wake are reduced to nothing more than babbling messes, barely able to determine left from right, let alone navigate the Labyrinth. They are doomed to wander the maze for the rest of their lives, or... until they run out of cheese and have to travel to a nearby shoppe.

Decrepit Tentacle Terror
This aged, ancient, elderly, broken down, exhausted, decrepit, over-the-hill terror has been lying in wait for what seems to be an eternity to defend this long lost city district. This horror is kept alive by the same ancient powers that flow through the Manaforge, the Dark Library, and the Templar's Sanctum.

Not nearly as powerful as she once was, this shade of her former self is still quite formidable. In all of these years she still has not been replaced as the primary guardian to the hidden inner chambers of the city.

Retired Minotaur
Once young and lively, this minotaur loved racing through the hallways of the Labyrinth, chasing down hunters and mice alike, howling and bellowing with delight as they scurried at the mere sound of his hooves on the cobbled floors. But now, it seems he has run his last lap of the maze, and has settled down into cozy end-life routines. Donning his fuzzy slippers in his favourite easy chair (which is a giant sack of gold), this retired beast has had his pension paid out in full and has relocated to his secret inner chamber to enjoy his retirement in peace and quiet.

The same shenanigans that used to bring him joy now only cause him grief, and he can be seen shaking his fist from atop his tower at the other mice hustling and bustling in the city. All that noise, all that racket! What a grumpy old grump this once playful beast has become...

But even in his twilight and seemingly endless misery, he still manages to let a small grin spread across his lips whenever he causes a mouse to jump in fear at the sound of his snort or the clipping of his hooves.

No one has broken into his private chambers and lived to tell the tale. Rumor has it that he stores many great and valuable items on opulent displays. Perhaps a resourceful hunter can find a way in and nab one of these rare treasures before being caught!
