Consisting of extremely elastic skin, the Puffer Mouse can easily fill its body up with surrounding water and puff up to a much larger size. This defence mechanism is great for thwarting potential predators but it also is an attractant to hunters who, for a long time, were fooled into thinking they were much heavier mice than they actually are!

The kite of the sea! Swims through the ocean with such little resistance that it looks as though it glides and floats underwater. They are also very curious, tailing interesting things (mice and hunters alike) around for hours on end!

When threatened, they dive bomb into the seabed and hide among the agitated sand. They have an impressive and deadly barbed stinger, luckily used only in self-defence.

Eel
Slippery and slimy! Loves to burrow down into the mud and sand in the deeper areas of the ocean. Accustomed to the deep, they have developed a phosphorus glow produced by running a self-generated electric current through their glass-like fins.

This current is also used for self-defence. Other deep sea mice familiar with their eerie green glow tend to keep their distance for fear of getting shocked, again!

The Seadragon Mouse is named after its dragon-like appearance, though it lacks the imposing physique of a true dragon. Fairly small in size, the Seadragon Mouse enjoys life along the bottom of most sea banks, mostly floating and drifting, using their tails to anchor themselves in the more interesting parts of the ocean.

They have long, leaf-like appendages which help them blend in with the local flora. This also makes them exceptionally well suited at peek-a-boo and hide-and-seek!

Many tales travel the tides of the Rodentia Ocean and this mouse is the centre of one of them. It is believed that the Old One had struck a bargain with one of the Coral Kings of old, offering untold riches and glory for a price. No one knows what the price was or if it was indeed paid but it appears that the Coral King's disappearance is linked with the appearance of Urchin Kings.

This long-forgotten Old One has begun to stir, and its first order of business is to find those responsible for disturbing its slumber!
